About Flish...

This is the traditional page all about me, who I am, what I do, where I'm from etc. And also the page that nobody ever reads ;-)

Flish, or my real name Andy Flisher, is 32 years old, and I'm currently running my own IT Consultancy and Development company called dotUK, if you're interested follow the link and you'll get an idea of what we do. Ironically it's works fault that this site is so sparse, and why I've pulled a lot of the old bits and bobs off, am just too busy looking after everbody elses computers and websites to do anything with my own, guess that's what happens when you take hobbies and do them for a living!. In past lives I worked for other people, in various roles from Web Development, IT and Internet Support, Computer Retail, and even in my (somewhat fitter) youth as a Lifeguard

I live in a small town just outside Stockton on Tees in the North East of England. I live with my (significantly) better half Rachel, three cats called Pixie, Misty, and Holly, and a huskie by the name of Cassey.

I was actually born in the South East of England where I lived for my first 18 years, but having a love for Middlesbrough Football Club and some family roots in the area I upped sticks and moved. Originally I was studying at the University Of Teesside to be a Chemical Engineer, at least that's what my careers advisor told me to do anyway. For a variety of reasons that didn't work out so I quit.

After a spell collecting the Governments generous benefits I got a job at Yarm Computers and over three years I worked my way up to be Workshop Manager. And then I quit to work at Onyx Internet, in the main working in a Development role, be it external clients Web sites, or the internal MIS and Oracle systems. Somewhere around November 2001 dotUK was formed, primarily as a part time earner doing small web projects in my own time, but the opportunity came along in early 2003 to take it on full time and that's where I am today.
